002 lean on desk PAMU web

A desk that boldly leans on the wall: This is the Lean on Desk from PAMU. It does without two table legs, so it saves a lot of space – a clever solution to the increase in home-based work when space is at a premium. The brains behind PAMU is the trained carpenter and industrial designer Patrick Müller.

The Lean on Desk is a blend of table and wall rack. It consists of a desktop surface with two drawers, a shelf board and three adjustable side trays. The LEAN ON DESK is simply leaned against the wall. Thanks to its clever design and anti-slip legs it stands firmly. So, it can be fixed in place without drilling, anchors or screws.

A clever solution to the increase in home-based work when space is at a premium.

Not only is the desk attractive and space-saving, it also sums up everything that designer Patrick Müller stands for: On one hand the origins in craftsmanship and a way of thinking that takes the material as the starting point, and on the other hand the eagerness to experiment, and the lightness and frankness of his design vocabulary.

The LEAN ON DESK is manufactured at two locations in Switzerland: the wood and CDF decor elements in canton Schwyz, and the drawers made of metal in canton Basel-Landschaft. Thanks to the close collaboration, quality can be controlled and it is possible act flexibly. Despite the high cost of production in Switzerland, thanks to the clever details it is possible to produce the LEAN ON DESK cost-efficiently and still be gentle on resources.
